Losing weight may improve your sex life and not just by making you look sexier.
Professor Bronwyn Stuckey, medical director at the Keogh Institute, has published a new study indicating that for men, losing weight improves sexual functioning regardless of the dietary method used.
The study found that overweight and obese men increased both their overall sexual functioning and their testosterone levels when they lost weight due to being placed on an energy restricted diet. Men on the study lost weight via either a high protein, low fat diet or a high carbohydrate, low fat diet and there results did not differ depending on the dietary method used.
The study was published in PLoS One.
